The G10, is rooted in Manchester, a city where skies are grey more often than blue, but where creativity burns in colour.

The trench coat has long been a staple of British wardrobes, worn by commuters and creatives alike. The G10 is essentially a single-breasted trench coat with a shorter cut, reaching the knee or slightly above, unlike the longer G12. Its original and noble purpose was to provide elegant, full protection for men’s formal wear from the British rain, while maintaining a clean, polished style.

The G10 gained historical prominence at a pivotal moment: In 1966, to celebrate England’s victory in the Football World Cup against West Germany, the Miller brothers dressed the entire English football team in specially tailored G10 coats. This version became known by the nicknames “The Mexican” (due to the upcoming World Cup in Mexico) or “Ramsey Raincoat” (named after the coach Sir Alfred Ramsey), thus consolidating the G10 as a symbol of British pride and achievement.

A detachable quilted lining, secured by an inner clasp button, lets the coat move between seasons. Worn full for cold, damp mornings, or stripped back to its shell for milder days. Finished with a Fraser Tartan lining and a WR treatment for water repellency, cut to a regular fit.
